Ongoing Support: Psychiatric Medication Management
Finding the right medication is a journey, and we are here to walk it with you. Our 30-minute follow-up visits for established patients are designed to ensure your treatment remains effective, safe, and aligned with your changing needs as a student.
What Happens During a Follow-Up Visit?
Unlike a deep-dive evaluation, these focused sessions are about tracking your progress and making necessary adjustments. In each 30-minute session, we will:
- Assess Your Progress: Discuss how you’ve been feeling since your last visit and address any new or ongoing concerns.
- Fine-Tune Your Treatment: Adjust medication dosages or treatment plans based on your feedback and symptom reassessment.
- Review Lab Results: Go over any diagnostics or labs to ensure your physical health is supporting your mental health.
- Provide Guidance: Offer brief counseling and preventive guidance to help you manage daily stressors.
- Coordinate Your Care: Organize necessary referrals or schedule your next follow-up to keep your recovery on track.
When to Schedule a Management Visit
These sessions are the “routine maintenance” of your mental health care. They are typically used for:
- Chronic Condition Management: Keeping long-term symptoms under control.
- Symptom Reassessment: Checking in if you feel your current plan isn’t quite hitting the mark.
- Medication Adjustments: Safely starting, stopping, or changing a prescription.
- Minor Acute Issues: Addressing brief setbacks or new stressors that pop up during the semester.
Student-Centered Care
We know your schedule changes with every semester. Our goal is to provide consistent, reliable medication management that fits into your life, helping you stay focused on your goals without the stress of navigating your healthcare alone.
